首先感谢您关注这套精美的画册。
乌拉圭画家阿尔瓦诺•卡斯泰格内特，英国画家约翰•亚德理，澳大利亚画家布莱恩•斯德拉敦，都是当今世界水彩画坛倍受尊敬、具有影响的实力派水彩画大师。
他们虽然取材不同、风格各异，但都充分地表现了作品的精彩。这些作品画面有的细腻别致，有的简约概括，有的奔放热情；色彩有的丰富多变，有的清新淡雅，有的狂放强烈，它们无不个性张扬、手法娴熟，从而富有特色。
在中国水彩画逐步走出国门之际，我们能有系统地欣赏到国际水彩画大师的作品，无疑对我们了解当前国际水彩画状况有巨大的帮助，使中国的水彩画能健康地走向世界。
为此，我们感谢三位画家为我们提供了一次赏心悦目的精彩展示。

Foreword
First of all, we hope that you will enjoy the beautifu1 watercolours featured in this series of books.
Alvaro Castagnet from Uruguay, John Yardley from England, and Brian Stratton from Australia are highly respected and influential masters in today's world of watercolour.
Their arts reflect strong personalities and distinct styles. The subject matters might be different; the compositions might sometimes be delicate,sometimes simplistic, and sometimes passionate; the colours might sometimes be abundant and vibrant, sometimes light and refreshing,and sometimes bold and rich; but each one of their works is a master piece in watercolour.
At the time when Chinese watercolour is slowly entering the international arena,by systemically showing works by these international watercolour masters, we hope to introduce to the Chinese artists,art enthusiasts, and audiences the current trends and developments in the watercolour circles around the world. We hope these exhibitions will help to promote healthy development of Chinese watercolour.
I would like to thank these three artists for the spectacular watercolours they have created.
