浙江省地处中国东南沿海，长江三角洲的南翼，因境内江流曲折的钱塘江而得名。浙江历史悠久，风光秀丽，人文荟萃，经济发达。

浙江多山，莫干山、天目山、雁荡山、天台山、括苍山、凤阳山等蜿蜒起伏，连绵不断从西南向东北延伸。
浙江多水，钱塘江、曹娥江、甬江、灵江、瓯江、飞云江、鳌江、东西苕溪八大水系顺着山势纵横浙江，滋润江南，从而在浙北浙东平原形成了丝绸之府，鱼米之乡。
浙江多古城、古镇、古村，杭州、绍兴、宁波、衢州、临海、金华6座国家级历史文化名城，132处全国重点文保单位，西塘、乌镇、南浔、诸葛八卦村、俞源村、郭洞村等古镇古村，遍布全省。
浙江多湖，杭州西湖和千岛湖、嘉兴南湖、绍兴东湖、宁波东钱湖、温州飞云湖，像一颗颗璀璨的明珠镶嵌在浙江大地。
浙江多海，海域面积26万平方公里，大陆海岸线和海岛岸线长达6500公里，面积500平方米以上的岛屿3061个，是我国岛屿最多的省份。
浙江多树，素有中国“东南植物宝库”之称，森林覆盖率60.5％，居全国各省、市、自治区前列 ，经济林、竹林面积在全国名列前茅，有国家级森林公园12个，国家级自然保护区4个。
浙江多旅游胜地，全省有杭州西湖，两江一湖（富春江、新安江、千岛湖）、天台山、雁荡山、仙都、普陀山、方岩、莫干山等17个国家级风景名胜区，44个省级风景名胜区。

Situated in the southeast coastal line of China and on the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, Zhejiang was named after a zigzag river (Qiantang River) within its border. It is a beautiful place with splendid culture and history as well as a booming economy.
51.2 million population resides in a land area of 101800 square kilometers.
Zhejiang boasts many moutains, Mount Mogan, Mount Tianmu, Mount Yandang, Mount Tiantai, Mount Kuocang , Mount Fengyang and so on, stretching from the southwest to northeast.
Zhejiang boasts many rivers, the eight major rivers: Qiantang River, Cao’e River, Yong River, Ling River, Ou River, Feiyun River, Ao River and Zhaoxi River stretching across Zhejiang, making the north and east part of Zhejiang a place of silk and rice.
Zhejiang boasts many ancient cities and towns, including six state-level historical and cultural cities, namely: Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Quzhou, Linghai and Jinhua. Zhejiang also has 132 Key Cultural Relics under the State-level Protection, like Xitang, Wuzhen, Nanxun, Zhuge Bagua Village, Yuyuan Village, Guodong Village.
Zhejiang boasts many lakes, such as the West Lake and the One-Thousand-Isle Lake in Hangzhou, the South Lake in Jiaxing, the East Lake in Shaoxing, the Dongqian Lake in Ningbo and Feiyun Lake in Wenzhou, like many shining pearls inlaid in the vast land of Zhejiang.
Zhejiang has an ocean area of 260000 square kilometers dotted with 3061 islands of over 500 square meters each, boasting the largest number of islands in China.Zhejiang also boasts a coastline of 6500 kilometers in length.
Zhejiang is blessed with rich forest resources, hence its reputation as “southeast China’s treasure house of florae”. The 60.5% forest coverage rate is one of the highest in the country. Zhejiang has large area of economic forests and bamboo forest with 12 national forest parks and 4 national nature reserves.
Zhejiang boasts many tourist attractions. The province has together 17 key national scenic areas, such as the West Lake, the scenic area that combines the Fuchun River, the Xin’an River and the One-Thousand-Isle Lake, Mount Tiantai, Mount Yandang, Xiandu, Mount Putuo, Fangyan, Mount Mogan and other 44 provincial scenic areas.
