序
上海美协围绕上海文化大发展大繁荣的战略需要，一直致力于美术人才的队伍建设，从2001年起与上海市文联联合创办两年一届的《上海美术大展》，至今已成功举办了六届，从2009年上海美术大展首次设立上海美术最高奖——白玉兰美术奖，成为上海美术界发现新人、推出精品的重要平台。自1986年开始举办的海平线绘画雕塑联展始终以中青年为主力，艺术探索为主旨，对上海中青年美术力量的发现和培养起到了很好的推动作用，为上海中青年美术创作探索留存了足迹。美协举办研修班已有11年，使一些有潜力的作者取得突破，很多的美术家从研修班走向全国的美术舞台。今年我们围绕建党90周年、辛亥革命100周年重大主题性创作，举办首届油画高级创研班，来自各艺术院校的教师、研究生、各创作单位的骨干中青年油画家26名参加，学习创作时间两年，力求在推新人和抓主题性创作上取得更大突破，真正创作出一批精品力作，为上海美术界培养一批创作人才。
为充分把握和尊重文艺人才成长规律，在人才的发现、培养、推荐、展示等各个方面采取相应举措，上海美协从实际出发，利用现有资源，发挥专业特点，拓展思路、创新举措、搭建平台，为美术领军人物脱颖而出提供服务，为中青年美术人才的成长成才创造条件，推动上海美术事业的全面发展。今年协会和上海艺术博览会组委会共同主办2011上海艺博会青年艺术家推介展。“上海艺博会青年艺术家推介展”举办已有6年，今年首次重点面向上海本地艺术家，展览旨在推介上海美术界四十五周岁以下具有时代性、学术性、代表性和探索性的青年艺术家。经专业艺委会推荐、主席团审议、专家评选出29位青年美术家成为美协与艺博会重点推介和集中展示。
青年艺术家推介展作为艺博会重要板块，是推介青年艺术家的很好平台，这次推介青年美术家的作品形式多样，思维敏锐，角度各异，反映出年轻艺术家在追求形式表现的同时，更加关注鲜活的生活、关注高速发展的经济、社会给人们生活、价值观等方面带来的冲击与思考，从生活的源泉中汲取艺术的养份。既有表现当时当下情绪感动的作品，也有反映都市化进程中的困惑的作品以及直指人类精神生活的基本问题的作品，使得展览具有时代的敏感性、学术的探索性。上海艺博会这个平台已经比较成熟，我们与艺博会形成资源优势互补，为青年艺术家提供了学术和市场的双向坐标，也是一次有效的探索和尝试。今后展览将打造成为上海美术界每年定期举办的重要品牌展览。

PREFACE
To meet the strategic demand of cultural rapid development and prosperity, Shanghai Artists Association was dedicated to the construction of art talent teams. Since 2001 ,the society launched the biennial "Shanghai Art Exhibition" with Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, which has been successfully held sixth. It has been an important platform where new talents are found, competitive products are introduced ,since the establishment of the Shanghai top art prize - Magnolia Arts Award at the 2009 Shanghai Art Exhibition for the first time The “sea line ”Painting and sculpture exhibition, held since 1986, played a good role in promoting and training shanghai young and middle-aged art force, and retained the footprint of artistic creation for Shanghai young and middle-aged members, since it took them as its main body, and art exploration as its purport. The society has held seminar for 11 years, a number of potential authors have made breakthrough, many of the artists from the Seminar have headed for the national art stage. This year, we hold the first seminar of canvas focusing on the major theme of the 90th anniversary of the Founding of the Party and the 100th anniversary of Revolution of 1911. 26 participants, mainly are the art school teachers, graduate students, the creative backbone of the young painters unit, will attend the seminar and plan for two years’ study. We aim to make greater breakthrough at introducing new talents and stressing subjectively creation, to create a group of competitive products, cultivate a number of the creative talent for Shanghai art world.
To take full advantage of and respect for the law of growth of the cultural talent, the society take appropriate measures in the discovery of talent, training, recommendation, display and other aspects. The society starts from reality, use existing resources, play professional characteristics, expand ideas, innovate initiatives, build platform. we hope to provide services for art leaders’ emergence , create conditions for the growth and success for young art talents, promote the comprehensive development of Shanghai art. This year, the society and the Shanghai Art Fair will co-host Shanghai Art Fair 2011 Emerging Artists Exhibition, which has been held for six years. It focus on local artists in Shanghai for the first time, seek to promote the young artists with the times academic, representative and exploratory under forty-five in Shanghai art world. Recommended by the Professional Arts Council, considered by the Presidium, the experts selected 29 young artists as the main members introduced by the society and the Shanghai Art Fair.
As an important sector of Shanghai Art Fair, Emerging Artists Exhibition is a good platform to promote young artists. The promoted works of young artists in various forms, mentally alert, different point of view, reflect that young artists pursuit the form of performance, at the same time, they pay more attention to the fresh life, concern the impact and reflection in people's lives, values and other aspects influenced by the rapid development of economy, society and take in nutrients of the art from life. Among them, there are works expressing the current moving mood, works reflecting the confusion in the process of urbanization and works directing the basic issues of the spiritual life of human, which imbue the exhibition with the sensitivity of the times, academic exploration. The platform, Shanghai Art Fair, is relatively mature, we have shared complementary resources with the Art Fair, which provides two-way coordinates of the academic and market for young artists, it is also a valid explore and attempt. In the future, the exhibition will be built into an important brand exhibition annually held by the Shanghai art world at a regular time.
