2月23日，国家文物鉴定委员会委员、著名书画鉴定家、画家、书法家、诗人徐邦达先生驾鹤西去，与谢稚柳、启功、杨仁恺、刘九庵诸位先生魂归一处。至此，中国古代书画鉴定的五位“掌眼人”悉数归于道山，不能不说这是中国书画鉴定史上一个阶段的分水岭。高山仰止，五位大师的丰碑高耸，后学者观之，面对浩浩历史，顿感责任重大，不思进取，则愧对先贤。
徐邦达先生是陆俨少先生的好朋友，并与陆先生的家乡嘉定有着深厚的渊源。在上世纪30年代的上海文献展览会上，徐邦达先生曾为来自嘉定县的先贤们鉴定字画。40年代末，他从上海市区迁居嘉定县城。在这里，他进行了大量的山水画及诗词创作，而其鉴赏水准也随之精进。回忆此间生活，他曾道：“与画友孙祖勃君朝夕过从，讨论艺事，最为欢洽。”与此同时，凝聚徐邦达一生心血的《古书画过眼要录》也正是在这一时期开始编撰的，这部书的写作在他的一生中一直延续着。而为纪念与嘉定陆俨少、孙祖勃的“晨夕游共”，徐邦达曾绘制《练川六景图》，将嘉定秋霞圃、金园、叶池、秦园等名胜画诸纸上，其挚友陆俨少、孙祖勃等人为此题跋，成为画史上的一段佳话。
徐邦达先生素有“徐半尺”之称，中国各大博物馆馆藏的一级中国书画，以及故宫博物院所藏中国书画的一、二、三级品及参考品全部经过徐邦达的鉴定，可谓“眼界尽古人神髓”。其在创作上，从大量临摩古人名作开始，又与吴氏同门弟子王己千，以及画友陆俨少、孙祖白、唐云等人切磋书法技法和理论，最终形成了其宗法古人，而不囿于成法的艺术面貌。
坚守传统，精研古法，而后博择新知，学通承变，这是一位中国画家成长的必经之路。本期所要推介给大家的20余位画家，也都是行走在这条路上的虔诚的朝圣者，我们精心呈现了他们在朝圣路上的所观感到的一些风景，与读者们共欣赏。
February 23，we were shocked by the news of the death of Xu Bangda. He is a member of the National Heritage Commission to Identify，the famous calligraphy and painting connoisseur，painter，calligrapher and poet. Xu and Xie Zhiliu，Qi Gong，Yang Renkai，Liu Jiuan is the five master of the ancient Chinese painting and calligraphy identification，their death is an end of the era of Chinese calligraphy and painting. The death of five predecessors left us a rich cultural heritage and thinking. When we are faced with a heavy history of Chinese painting，we should try to delve into the traditional.
Xu Banda and Lu Yanshao are good friends，he has deep feelings with Lu Yanshao's hometown. In the documentary exhibition in the 1930s，Xu Bangda collectors identified the painting and calligraphy for the collectors from Jiading County. In the late 1940s，Xu Banda moved from Shanghai to Jiading county. During that time，he created a lot of landscape painting and poetry，his academic standards have greatly improved. Xu Bangda exchange skills and theory of Chinese painting with his friends Lu Yanshao and Sun Zubo. Because the memory of the life time in Jiading，Xu Banda created a series of works， QiuXiapu and other gardens of Jiading are drawn into the painting，inscription by his friend Lu Yanshao and Sun Zubo.
A painting and calligraphy of China's major museum collections，as well as the A,B,C relics and reference of Palace Museum have all been identified by Xu Bangda. On the painting，he can follow the tradition，without being limited by the traditional
Follow the tradition，well-research the ancient art，and then find a new landscape，is the only way a painters worded in Chinese painting. More than 20 artists in this issue，are the pious pilgrims walking in this way.
