在松嫩平原中部，有一片神奇的土地——大庆，被誉为“绿色油化之都，天然百湖之城，北国温泉之乡。”
大庆蓝天碧水，湖泽沃野，鸟语花香。是我国内陆首家“国家环保模范城市”，先后获得联合国“迪拜改善人居环境范例奖”、“全国优秀旅游城市”、“中国十佳魅力城市”等称号，2008年荣获“全国卫生城市”称号。
让胡路区是大庆的西部城区，人们习惯称之为西城区，幅员1394平方公里，人口逾50万，地处滨州让通铁路交汇处，哈大齐工业走廊的中心地带。让胡路区是我国重要的石油工业和化工生产基地，举世闻名的大庆油田有限责任公司（大庆石油管理局）和大庆炼化公司总部座落在这里。
地上，拥有76万亩草原，21万亩耕地，22万亩森林，6万亩水面，2万亩湿地。地下蕴藏着丰富的石油、天然气资源，年产原油4000万吨，天然气9.75亿立方米，有各类化工原料及中间体29类、78个品种，聚丙烯、轻烃等年产能力达百万吨。
让胡路区环境优美，生态和谐。市区繁荣整洁，街道宽广流畅，建筑典雅别致，广场雄伟恢弘。草原辽阔，森林环抱，群湖辉映，是别有风情的生态旅游胜景。
让胡路区是一座年轻的城区。生机盎然，商机无限。“大庆精神铁人精神”激励着一代又一代的让胡路人，以不断拼搏、不断创新、不断进取的精神，正在建设一个更加繁荣、和谐、美好的西城区。
IIn the middle of Songnen Plain, there is an amazing land called Daqing, to be honored as ‘acity with green, oil and hundreds of natural lakes as well as the home of hot springs in northland.’
Blue sky, green water, shining lakes and flourishing grassland, Daqing is the first National Environment Protection Model city in Chinese inner land. Daqing achieved such titles like Dubai Environmental Improvement of Residence Model Prize, National Excellent Tourism City and Chinese Top Ten Charming City. Furthermore, to be honored a title of National Sanitation City in 2008.
Rang Hulu District locates in the northern area of Daqing. People are used to call it Western district. It covers 1,394 square kilometers and the population is more than 50million. Not only it locates in the Binzhou and Rangtong railway interchange but also in the center of Ha Da Qi(Harbin,Daqing and Qiqihar) industrial corridor. Rang Hulu district is an important oil industry and chemical production base in China. The well-known headquarters of Daqing Oil-field Co.,Ltd (Daqing Petroleum Administration Bureau) and Daqing Petrochemical Company are located here.
Rang Hulu district owns 76 million mu of grassland, 21 million mu of farmland, 22 million mu of forests, 6 million mu of water and 2 million mu of everglade on the ground. It contains abundant oil and natural gas resources underground, with an annual output of 40 million tons of crude oil and 9.75 billion cubic meters natural gas. It can also provide all kinds of chemical raw materials and intermediate category of 29 and 78varieties, such as polypropylene and other light hydrocarbon production capacity of 1 million tons per year.
Rang Hulu district has wonderful environment and harmony nature. The urban area is flourishing and clean. The street is wide and fluent, the architecture is grace and decent, the square is magnificent. The grassland and forest form a theme of embracing. Numbers of lakes reflect each other and green water shies under the pure blue sky.
Rang Hulu district is also a young, vibrant and energetic city with unlimited business opportunities. he Daqing spirit that means the Iron Man spirit?(a man named Wang Jinxi, the explorer of Daqing oil-field, his spirit was as hard as iron, so today we call him the Iron Man) encourages people who residences in Rang Hulu generation after generation. Their continuously hard-working, innovating and enterprising spirits are aiming for the goal of constructing a prosperous, harmonious and wonderful western district of the city.
