很早就看到程俊杰的油画,不管是在出版物中,还是在画展上,
他的作品总有一种独特的意韵吸引着我。
这些作品往往取材于日常生活中最普遍的场景,
在平时人们熟悉得经常会视而不见:一把椅子或者一台电扇,
或是衬上几枝鲜花,或是罩着一缕阳光,
栖落在屋子的一角,悄无声息……然而当它们由程俊杰的画笔呈现出来之后,
却拥有了一份撼动人心的魔力。那些让人司空见惯的物件不仅散发出光彩,
而且仿佛具有与人相呼应的一种气息,
它们唤起人心底对日常“平淡” 的亲切和温暖感觉。
程俊杰诠释了日常之物作为人类生活基础物件的独特魅力和意味,
使它们焕发出生命力。
这不禁让我们重新想起了罗丹的名言:
对于生活,不是缺少美,而是缺少发现。发现”需要发现者的专业功力,
还需要他的思想,他对人生的领悟和态度。和程俊杰相识后,
我对他有了进一步的认识,他平实、亲和,有热情,富才气。
令我颇感意外的是,他学的专业居然不是油画,而是平面设计。
我曾经看到过他为一些大单位设计的视觉标识,
简约明洁,有极强的概括力和优美的形式,在我眼里简直无懈可击,
而他的陶艺作品同样给我留下深刻印象,
其造型新颖,具有古典、优雅的形式感,
又不乏时尚、创新的元素,可谓匠心独运,别具一格。
两年前,我们结伴游欧洲,在朝夕相处的日子里,
我深深感受到他作为一名艺术家相当勤奋和专注的一面。
无论到哪里,也不管时间有多仓促,
他总会利用哪怕是一眨眼的功夫拿出随身携带的速写簿画速写。
在他的眼中,什么都可以入画:形形色色的人们,风格各异的建筑,
气象万千的风景,或者是奇异的野生花草、不知名的各种小鸟,
甚至一道不起眼的河流、一朵貌不惊人的云……
他用流畅的线条记录着这些景物,在清晰的结构基础上加入了些许装饰的处理,
有景有情,别致而又富有意趣。
画如其人,速写的处理要求概括简练,这就需要敏锐的目光以及果敢的判断。
程俊杰便是具备这两种素养的艺术家,
他能在一大堆看似相似的物件中一眼发现其中的优异者。
在欧洲的购物市场,当大家面对琳琅满目的商品惘然无措时,
他总是在第一时间找出最有特色、最具艺术气息的东西,
这让我不得不佩服他的品味,佩服他的鉴赏力以及他的判断力。
正是得益于这种脱俗的品位,
他的油画作品才能在平凡的物象中挖掘出不平凡的意蕴。值得一提的是,
他对于景物的描绘并不拘泥于真实的再现,而是结合了设计的因素,
进行了变形夸张的处理,
同时平面化的结构、素雅的色调也使这种变形夸张保持在一种合理的尺度之内,
显得稳健而又富有幽幽的浪漫气息。与其说是他在画这些景物,
倒不如说是他借这些景物在画自己——我想,
那个时候的他和他的画应该是融为一体的。
看似平淡,却蕴含丰富;看似平常,却充满情趣;
看似平静,却果断过人;看似平和,却激情内蓄。
程俊杰和他的画是需要慢慢欣赏,细细品味的。

I have seen Cheng Junjie’s oil paintings since very long ago.
His works, no matter in publications or exhibitions, always attract me by the unique styles.
The subjects of his works are usually the common things in daily life,
which are so familiar to people that people may neglect them,
such as one chair, one electric fan, or several flowers, or the rays of sunshine.
They silently stay in one corner of the room,
while in Cheng Junjie’s brush they are touching with strong magnetism.
Those common things not only radiate brightness, but also remind people of their warmness
and amicability towards common things.
Chen Junjie interprets the specific charms and meaning of common things
that are served as the necessities for human life and inject vitality into them.
Two years ago, we had a tour in Europe. During the close stay with him,
I was moved by his diligence and concentration as an artist.
No matter where he goes and how tight the schedule is, he will always spend some time,
even a short moment of a twinkle of an eye on practicing sketches.
Everything including different people, various architectures, majestic scenery, obscure birds,
strange wild plants, or even the unnoticed cloud
and unattractive river can be the objects in his paintings.
He records these scenes with smooth lines.
The clear structure is dotted with some decorations to be added to the emotion of the picture
and make it elegant and interesting.
Such as a man, such is his painting.
Sketch needs to be simple and plain, so the painter should have keen eyes and sharp judgment.
Cheng Junjie is such kind of artist
who can find out the excellent one from lots of similar things at the first glance.
In the European mall, facing various and endless commodities,
he can find out the most specific and aesthetic one among them,
so I can’t help admiring his taste, appreciation ability and judgment.
It is because his unusual taste that
his oil paintings can explore the unusual connotation from common things.
It is worth mentioning that he does not simply copy the reality
but exaggerate and reshape the reality by using the design elements.
Besides, the two dimensional structures and light color keep such exaggeration
and reshape proper so that his works are stable, romantic and humorous.
He draws himself through drawing the scenes more than these scenes only.
I think he and his picture are mixed to a whole when he is painting.
Chen Junjie’s paintings seem to be plain but rich, common but interesting,
calm but resolute, peaceful but enthusiastic, which need careful appreciation and taste.
The more you understand him, the more you can learn from his paintings.
