内容提要
Sponsored by the United Nations Chinese Book Club and facilitated by the Office of the Under-Secretary-General, a solo art exhibition, “Sound of Ink”, by Su Yin Zhou was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, from August 3rd to August 7th, 2009.
Diplomats, Senior United Nations officials, United Nations staff, non-governmental organizations, as well as international media totaling nearly 300 guests were present at the opening reception held on Monday, August 3rd, 2009.
Speaker at the opening reception included, Mr. Liu --- Vice-President of the Chinese Book Club, Ambassador Liu Zhenmin --- Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Mission to the United Nations, Ambassador Sha Zhukang --- Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, and the highest ranking Chinese at the United Nations, and Ambassador Joseph Verner Reed --- Under-Secretary-General and Special Advisor to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
