序
北国名城---哈尔滨是个富含艺术气息的城市。春夏秋冬的鲜明气候特征，使每个居住或到过这里的人都对这座城市留下了深刻的印象。
在哈尔滨的历史中，不同的历史时期都有着文化交流和各种思潮碰撞留下的痕迹。这里曾是金源文化的发祥地，北方少数民族彪悍的性格注入了血脉；在19世纪末，这里流入大批各国侨民，西方美术、宗教艺术的观念和风格，跟随着移民也扎根于这片土地并持续着影响；上个世纪30年代，哈尔滨的抗战文化蓬勃发展；解放战争初期，哈尔滨最早回到人民怀抱，大批文艺工作者从延安来到哈尔滨，为哈尔滨的艺术传承注入了革命精神及时代风尚。现代与古典、东方与西方，来自各个方面的艺术理念和绘画风格杂揉在一起，使这片土地深深地受到艺术的滋养，涌现出了不少优秀的艺术家，并且以它所具有的浓厚地域特色，在当代中国美术界产生了重要影响。
哈尔滨能走出如此之多具有知名度的美术家，得益于这里生活着一批尊重艺术、热爱艺术的民众。在哈尔滨的一些友人家，经常可以看到钢琴、油画、雕塑。他们之中很多人并不从事艺术工作，却对艺术有着极高的鉴赏力和领悟力。在哈尔滨举办的各类艺术活动，不管是高雅的，还是通俗的，是古典艺术，还是大众流行艺术，都能得到广大普通市民的倾情参与，各个层次的艺术教育在哈尔滨完备而有序。当人们了解到哈尔滨人对艺术教育的与生俱来的钟爱，就不会再惊奇为什么这里能涌现出如此之多的艺术人才。
哈尔滨市委、市政府历来十分重视走出去的艺术人才，特别是对那些为艺术事业和城市文化建设作出贡献、成就卓著的美术家尤为关注。此次由哈尔滨市推出的《哈尔滨走出的美术家系列》画册，目的就是进一步宣传、推介这些走出去的优秀美术家，向热爱艺术的人们展示他们的优秀作品，以此表达哈尔滨市人民对他们的尊崇关爱之情，并由此激发他们热爱家乡的情感，同时也激励他们在艺术道路上不断进取、不断创造。当各位读者通过这套画册了解到，这些曾经生活在哈尔滨，在美术领域取得杰出成就的名家时，我们看到的仅仅只是这座艺术城市苍穹中几颗最为耀眼的明星。
感谢这些从哈尔滨走出的美术家，他们为这块中华大地上的艺术圣地增光加彩；感谢哈尔滨这座城市，是她对艺术的慷慨赐予和兼容并蓄，是她对艺术的青睐与滋养，才让她的儿女出落得如此光耀夺目。我希望这些美术家用色彩斑斓的笔墨，继续尽情书写祖国壮美的山河，尽情描绘家乡多彩的生活，也祝愿哈尔滨这座美丽的城市和她长存的艺术气质，不断焕发出更为绚丽的光彩。
Foreword
China's famous city Harbin is lavishly full of artistic atmosphere. Its sharply contoured seasons and characteristic climate, leave deep impressions on both residents and visitors towards this city.
The history of Harbin, witnessed the traces of multi-cultural contacts and collision of contrasted ideological trends among all different periods. Here was once the birthplace of Jinyuan culture,which marks the north minority nationality's valiant disposition. During the end of the 19th century, it amassed a large quantity of various countries immigrant population, along with whom the western art and the religious art ideas and styles took root in this land, and the influences have been lasting till now. In 1930s, the cultural movements of anti-Japanese aggression vigorously sprang up in Harbin; at the beginning of the War of Liberation, Harbin returned to the people's embrace as the earliest area. A large number of literary and art workers came here from Yan'an and added the revolutionary spirit and the prevailing custom of the times into Harbin's art traditions. Thus the modern and classical, East and West, varied art ideas and painting styles, mix and blend together, causing this land greatly nourished by art and many outstanding artists emerged, whose excellent works with pronounced region characteristics have considerable influences upon China's contemporary f ine art's panorama.
The reason why so many outstanding artists have emerged in Harbin is based upon the populace here who show special respect and love towards art. In many of my friends' homes, it is a common sight to see the piano, oil painting, and sculpture. Many of my friends are not engaged in the art profession, but they actually have extremely high connoisseurship and deep understandings to art. Any artistic activities in Harbin, noble or common, classic or popular, can all have ordinary people's attractions and their enthusiastic participation. All the levels of artistic education in Harbin are systematic, comprehensive and in good order. After knowing the Harbin people's natural way to cherish art so heavily, one would not be surprised why so many great artists can arise from here.
The Harbin municipal party committee and the municipal government always show great concern over the well-known artists coming from Harbin and especially pay close attention to those famous artists who make the contributions towards the artistic cause and win the achievements in the civic culture developments. This set of picture albums-Artists Coming from Harbin Series , promoted by Harbin, aim to further recommend and publicize those artists and show the people who show genuine and passionate love towards art their beautiful works, by which Harbin people's venerating and loving concerns to them are expressed, and their love and sentiments for homeland are also deepened, and they are unceasingly inspired to make progress on their artistic path.When readers learn through this set of picture albums, those artists' remarkable achievements in the f ine arts domain, they would know that what they see are merely a few of the most dazzling art stars in the sky of Harbin.
Thanks to those coming-from -Harbin artists who add lustre and credits to this art Holy Land. Thanks to the city Harbin, it is her generous favour and nourishment to the arts, as well as her accumulation of historical cultures, that can make her gifted children become the brilliance. I hope those artists can use the colourful brushes to continue enthusiastically and emotionally to trace out the splendour and solemn of motherland's mountains and rivers and wholeheartedly praise the rich and colourful life of their native land. I also give my best wishes to this very beautiful city of Harbin and her everlasting artistic inclination and let it achieve more brilliant magnificence of glory and honour.
