劫波度过山河壮，大爱换来天地春。
弹指一挥间，惊天动地的“5·12”大地震已经过去一年！时光可以带走忧伤，抚平创痛，但却无法磨灭63万都江堰人民刻骨铭心的记忆与发自肺腑的感恩之情！
记忆的时针定格在2008年5月12日14时28分，作为距离“5·12”汶川大地震震中最近的城市，都江堰市遭受了有史以来最为严重的自然灾害。山崩地裂、江河改道、城镇夷平、村庄毁灭……受灾范围之广，伤亡人数之多，灾害损失之大，前所未有。广大人民群众的生命财产遭受巨大损失，中心城区80%以上房屋不同程度受损，山区、沿山区95%以上房屋损毁；旅游经济受到全域性重创，青城山-都江堰世界文化遗产和龙溪-虹口国家级自然保护区以及其他重要景区景点遭受严重破坏。全市直接经济损失高达五百多亿元，多年积累的发展成果毁于一瞬。
都江堰市的灾情牵动着中央、省、成都市领导的心，也牵动着每一个中华儿女的心。是您们心系受灾地区，情牵受灾群众，给予了都江堰人民宝贵的物资援助和巨大的精神支持。各方救援力量与我们并肩奋战，开展了一场气壮山河、艰苦卓绝的抗震救灾斗争，我们以坚定的信念、坚强的意志、坚韧的努力，经受了考验，与全国人民一道创造了抗灾救灾史上灾区没有发生饥荒、没有出现流民、没有爆发疫情、没有社会动荡的奇迹，夺取了抗震救灾的阶段性重大胜利，用汗水和泪水书写了一曲心手相牵、生死不离的壮美史诗。随后，我市在全国人民尤其是上海人民的无私援助下，紧紧围绕“两个加快”的战略部署，以“三年任务两年基本完成”为目标，以加快重建、扩大内需、促进增长为主线，以“六大工程”为抓手，以体制机制创新为动力，坚持统筹城乡的思路和办法，负重自强、艰苦奋斗、只争朝夕，全力开展灾后重建，灾后重建各项工作有力、有序、有效推进。灾后近一年来，我市产业恢复、项目建设、社会秩序、城乡面貌、群众信心等方面均呈现出良好的态势。
从来没有一种力量让我们如此惊叹，从来没有一种举动让我们如此震撼，从来没有一种记忆让我们如此难忘！
历史不会忘记，中央、省、成都市领导心系群众、情暖灾区，深入一线、鼓舞士气，汇聚成万众一心、众志成城、顽强拼搏的强大合力。历史不会忘记，广大解放军指战员、武警官兵、公安干警、民兵预备役部队冲锋在前、勇挑重担，创造了世界救灾史上一个又一个的奇迹。历史不会忘记，全国人民、海内外同胞心系灾区、千里弛援，展示了中华民族一方有难、八方支援的优良传统，体现了社会主义制度的无比优越。历史不会忘记，全国各省市以及成都市各兄弟区（市）县情同手足，无私援助，为我市抗震救灾提供了强有力的支持。历史不会忘记，全市广大党员和群众心连心、手挽手，以最朴实的行动绘就了“执政为民、患难与共”的感人画卷，共同见证了生命的坚强，一起感受了人间大爱。
在此，我谨代表知恩感恩的63万都江堰人民，向领导都江堰市抗震救灾和灾后重建的各级领导，向奋战在抗震救灾和灾后重建第一线的广大干部群众，解放军指战员、武警官兵、民兵预备役人员和公安干警，向医疗卫生工作者、新闻工作者、科技工作者、工程建设者、社会工作者和志愿者，向各民主党派、工商联和无党派人士以及所有参加抗震救灾和灾后重建的社会各界人士，向1900万上海人民致以最崇高的敬意！向关心和支持我市抗震救灾和灾后重建的港澳台同胞、海外华人和国际友人，表示最衷心的感谢！
大难励志，生生不息。我们坚信，在党中央、国务院，四川省委、省政府，成都市委、市政府的坚强领导和亲切关怀下，在全国人民尤其是上海人民的大力支援下，通过63万知恩感恩的都江堰人民的艰苦奋斗和顽强拼搏，都江堰市一定会凤凰涅般木、浴火重生，走向更加美好的明天！

Withstanding the disaster, the mountains and rivers are stronger than ever; relieving the victims, love makes the spring comes back to the land again.
How time flies! One year has passed by since the world-shaking May 12 earthquake happened! Time can take sorrows away and relieve pain, but cannot wear away the imprinted memory and heart-felt gratitude from 630 thousand people of Dujiangyan !
Let our mind flash back to 2:28 p.m. on May 12, 2008. As a city nearest to the epicenter, Dujiangyan suffered from the severest natural disaster for the first time ever. Mountains fell and earth split, rivers courses were changed , cities and towns were leveled to the ground, and villages destroyed—the scale of disaster, the number of casualties, and the loss was unprecedented. People’s life and property suffered great losses, 80% of the buildings were damaged in different degrees in the central urban area, above 95% of the buildings in and along the mountain areas were destroyed. Tourism industry met an overwhelming impact: Mt. Qingcheng-Dujiangyan World Cultural Heritage, Longxi-Hongkou National Nature Reserve and other key scenic spots were badly destroyed. The direct economic loss of the city reached up to over 50 billion RMB, and development fruits accumulated over years were ruined instantly.
The after-disaster situation attracted great attention of our leaders and every Chinese. We really appreciate the precious aids and spiritual supports you have so kindly provided to people of Dujiangyan . With supports from all walks of life, we fought against the disaster hard and courageously. With strong will, firm belief and persistent efforts, we underwent the test of disaster, and created a miracle in the history of earthquake relief that there wasn’t any famine, refugee, epidemic, nor any social unrest, achieving a great phasic victory and composing a magnificent epic with our sweat and tears.
Subsequently, with supports and aids from all Chinese especially from Shanghai people, focusing on the strategy of “two accelerations”, with the goal of “completing the three-year task in two years”, based on the mainline of accelerating the reconstruction, expanding domestic demand and promoting growth, taking the “six projects” as the impetus, powered by the institutional innovation, insisting on the thought and method of balancing the urban and rural development, we worked hard on post-disaster reconstruction with all our strength, effectively and orderly impelling all the reconstruction tasks. In nearly one year after the disaster, we have realized favorable momentum in many fields, such as industrial recovery, project construction, social order, urban and rural development, people’s confidence and so on.
There has never been a power surprising us so much, an action shaking us so much, and a memory impressing us so much!
The history will never forget the leaders of all levels, who were concerned about the quake-affected people and area, going to the front line and inspiring people. The history will never forget the soldiers and officers from the Chinese Army, who took on the heavy responsibilities and charged forward, creating one miracle after another. The history will never forget all the Chinese people in and out of China, who were anxious about the quake-affected area and offered assistance from far away, displaying the excellent Chinese tradition of making an united effort to help the victims and demonstrating the superiority of the socialist system. The history will never forget the government departments of all levels, which gave strong supports to earthquake relief work. The history will never forget the communist party members and the masses, who worked together through the disaster hand in hand and heart by heart, witnessing the strong life force and feeling the great love in the world.
Hereby, on behalf of 630 thousand Dujiangyan people, we express our greatest respect to leaders of all levels, cadres and masses on the front line, soldiers and officers from the Chinese Army, healthcare staff, pressmen, scientific and technological workers, engineering constructers, social workers, and volunteers, non-communist party members, members of Chinese Federation of Industry and Commerce, and all those who joined us in the quake-relief and post-quake reconstruction, especially to the 19 million Shanghai people! We also express our sincerest thanks to provinces and cities which supported our disaster relief work, all Chinese in and out of China and our international friends, who were concerned about our disaster relief work and reconstruction !
We firmly believe, led by the Party Central Committee, the State Council, Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Government, Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Government, supported by all Chinese, especially Shanghai People, through 630 thousand Dujiangyan people’s hard work and struggle, Dujiangyan will be reborn from the ruins and have a brighter tomorrow!
